Biriko in the moonlight
(an Anuki children's folk dance)
Hus gowin tu da mun?

Ai kamin from dea, mon.
Kwarureregi, kwarureregi;

The children join hands
in a biriko ring;
fingers stretch, clasp, hold firm.
They dance the biriko
to the right, to the left
Kwarureregi, kwarureregi;
Kwarureregi, kawrureregi.
Two break into the centre.
The others move in, complete the cirle:
fingers stretch, clasp, hold firm.
They dance the biriko
to the left, to the right;
Kwarureregi, kwarureregi;

The two in the centre dance:
feet down, palms touch;
